The 8th China (Sanya) International Orchid Show kicked off at the Orchid World Cultural Tourism Zone in Sanya’s Tianya Town on January 8th.
 
The 8th China (Sanya) International Orchid Show attracted 120 exhibitors from 18 countries and regions to attend, with more than 30,000 valuable potted orchids being on show.
 
The 8th China (Sanya) International Orchid Show kicked off at the Orchid World Cultural Tourism Zone in Sanya’s Tianya Town on January 8th and will last until January 14th, 2014.

Co-sponsored by the Hainan Orchid Association and the Sanya People’s Government, the event attracted 120 exhibitors from 18 countries and regions to attend, and showcased more than 30,000 valuable potted orchids.

With a total exhibition area covering 8 hectares, the exhibition will feature 15 display areas including a public display area, an award-winning works display area and an orchid photography works display area. During the event, there will be 5 orchid competitions including a single-orchid competition and a floral art competition, with a total of 114 awards.

A series of orchid themed activities including an orchid signing ceremony, international orchid forum, lectures on orchid plantation & floral arts and an orchid photo exhibition will also be held.

The orchid exhibition is open to the public from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm from January 8th until February 24th (Chinese Lantern Festival) and tickets for the exhibition are priced at 45 yuan per person.
