Sanya to host 14th Hainan Carnival together with five branch venues

According to the organizers of the 14th Hainan Carnival, the coastal tourist city of Sanya will work together with five supporting venues including Haikou, Danzhou, Qionghai, Wanning and Qiongzhong to host the annual event.

The event will kick off at Sanya’s scenic spot Qianguqing on December 29th, a large-scale cultural performance of Sanya’s Qianguqing, a water carnival and a pirate battle game, as well as a variety of ticket discount offers and lucky draws will be offered to the public at the opening ceremony.

During the event, at the newly-built Mission Hills Huayi Brothers Fengxiaogang Movie Theme Town in Haikou, local residents and tourists will be able to personally experience the romantic settings from some of Fengxiaogang's famous movies, including "Temperature So 1942", "Tangshan Earthquake", "If You are the One" and the newly-released film “Personal Tailor”.

In Qionghai, a nearly 300-kilometer rural greenway will be officially put into use on the afternoon of December 29th, and the 6 scenery towns in the city, including Jiaji, Zhongyuan, Bo’ao, Tanmen, Tayang and Wanquan, will launch many new tourism products to lure tourists during the event.

At the same time, the Riyue Bay Surfing Competition and a Riyue Bay Beach Campfire New Year Party will take place in Wanning.

From 30th December 2013 to 1st January 2014, Qiongzhong will hold a series of festive activities to celebrate the Hainan Carnival, including a tourism handicraft exhibition.

The celebration activities in Danzhou will open at the Guangcun Cigar Town, with the Danzhou Folk Song Performance, local food promotion and the Cigar Cultural Exhibition.
