To promote Sanya as an international tourist city, Southern China Airlines has placed 6 new aircrafts in Sanya, making its fleet total 13 this year.

To bring convenience for passengers to and from Sanya, Southern China Airlines has launched new operation plans. Apart from the existing aircrafts based in the city, the carrier will increase air routes flying from other cities to Sanya.

Wang Zhen, the General Manager of the SCA Hainan Branch said the company is planning to add 2 additional aircrafts to its fleet in Sanya in 2014. The carrier is expected to transport 2.5 million passengers in and out the city annually.

Starting 27th October 2013, Southern China Airlines started using larger planes on flights between Beijing and Sanya. During the Spring Festival holiday, the flight frequency will increase from 2 daily to 5 total daily.
