The construction of the Yazhou Central Fishing Port has been going smoothly. The relevant departments unveiled that the project is expected to be put into operation at the end of next year.

As a major infrastructure project in Sanya, the project consists of its core area, an artificial island and supporting facilities.

The whole project requires a total investment of 2.9 billion Yuan, and it has received an investment of 1 billion Yuan, accounting for 35.4% of the total needed.

The road engineering, earthwork engineering, culvert construction and drainage engineering of the project are underway and its core area is set to be completed in June 2014.
