In line with the decision of the Hainan provincial government, a one-year crackdown on traffic violations around Sanya city is being launched from December 15th 2013 to December 31st 2014

The province-wide traffic crackdown will focus on illegal cab operations, truck overloading and a series of other serious traffic illegal behaviors including speeding and drunk driving.

The Sanya traffic police department will especially stress traffic violations among operators and drivers of buses, taxis, tour buses and trucks, including illegal operations, overloading, driving in the reverse direction, driving without a license and other related traffic violations.

On December 15th, law enforcement officers checked more than 300 vehicles at Mingzhu Square, Honggang Market, Summer Mall, airport, railway station, scenic spots and other major areas, and 54 cases of illegal behavior were handled.
