The 8th China (Sanya) International Orchid Show is to be held from January 8th to 14th 2014 in Sanya city. 120 exhibitors from 18 countries and regions has been invited to attend he event.

The main venue will be the Orchid World Cultural Tourism Zone in Sanya’s Tianya Town, it’s near the Nanshan exit of West Line Highway, Covering 8 hectares. There will be 15 exhibition areas including a public exhibition area and an award-winning works exhibition area.

Local residents and tourists can take the bus which runs between there and the downtown area to enjoy the orchid exhibition between 8:00am to 6:00pm from January 8th until February 24th (Chinese Lantern Festival).

The event will feature 5 orchid competitions including a single-orchid competition and a floral art competition, with a total of 114 awards.

At the same time, a series of orchid themed activities including an orchid signing ceremony, international orchid forum, lectures on orchid plantation & floral arts and an orchid photo exhibition will be held.

The event is co-sponsored by the Hainan Orchid Association and Sanya people’s government.
