With the theme of “Restructuring to Explore New Driving Forces for Growth”, the 3-day Sanya Forum 2013 kicked off at the Sheraton Sanya Haitang Bay Resort on December 13th.

Large numbers of prominent global leaders in politics, business and academia from China, the USA, Europe and Asia gathered in Sanya to examine and propose targeted solutions to such pressing issues as China’s New Economic Challenges, including the former British prime minister Tony Blair, the former French prime minister Dominique de Villepin, the governor of the People’s Bank of China Zhou Xiaochuan, Lenovo’s Chairman Liu Chuanzhi and the Chairman of SOHO China Pan Shiyi.

The forum arranged various panel discussions on a wide range of hot topics including cooperation and opportunities of globalization in the post-crisis era, new drives for global growth, reform and growth in the emerging economy (including China), transformation for private enterprises, improvement of financial regulation and the financial market in China, and integration of Chinese and Western culture and their development.

The Sanya Forum, founded in 2012, is organized by the China Association for International Friendly Contact (CAIFC), and presented by CAIJING Magazine with support from the Hainan and Sanya governments.

It is a high-profile platform convening top-ranking business executives, think-tank leaders and far-sighted policy makers to explore and seek solutions to pressing issues facing the world.
