The 17th China (Sanya) Tianyahaijiao International Wedding Festival kicked off at Sanya’s scenic Tianyahaijiao on December 12, 2013, and 68 couples from home and abroad participated in the group wedding ceremony.

At the wedding ceremony in Tianyahaijiao Square, the 68 couples put on the Betelnut bracelet, representing eternal love for wife or husband, with happy smiles on their faces. The whole audience was touched by the romantic moment.

An elderly married couple, who have been married for 50 years, shared their secrets to marital bliss: mutual trust, care and tolerance. They expressed their hope that they could attend the wedding festival together with their grandchildren when they celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary.

Ian, from England, has been married to his Chinese wife for 8 years, and he expressed his thoughts that a happy marriage has no national boundaries.
