The beautiful coastal tourist city of Sanya
 
Sanya was named "2013 China Top 10 Leisure City" at the 2013 China International Leisure Development Forum on December 9th thanks to its abundant leisure entertainment resources and unique natural ecological areas.

The 2013 China Top 10 Leisure Cities were named as Lijiang, Guilin, Kunming, Sanya, Hangzhou, Qingdao, Chengdu, Nanjing, Dalian and Yangzhou. These were selected from 60 candidate cities in China after a four-month-long public voting and selection period.

The China International Leisure Development Forum is sponsored by Xiaokang Magazine, which is a subsidiary of Qiushi (Seeking Truth) Magazine and is affiliated with the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee.

The annual leisure development forum is a diverse, international, authoritative, academic event.
