Sanya plans to set up 9 modern service industry clusters in Haitang Bay to boost the area’s development by 2020.

These 9 functional zones include a luxury hotel zone, an international rehabilitation base, a regional financial center, a cultural creative industry area, a MICE-oriented travel base and a holiday resort area.

The local government has set a goal for gross regional product to reach 15 billion yuan by 2020, with an annual increase of 20%.

10 high-end internationally recognized brand hotels have already opened for business on the beautiful coastline and the city’s premier hospital, 301 Hospital has been put into operation and other super-scale projects, including the Coconut Island hotel hub, Atlantis project, Dream Sleepless Town and a finance and economics forum are currently under construction.
