GreenTree Inns Hotel Management Group Inc., which was founded in 2004, is a budget hotel chain based in China with its headquarters located in the Zhabei District of Shanghai.

In recent years, a great deal of domestic well-known national budget hotel chains have opened properties in Sanya, such as 7 Days Inn Group and Home Inns Hotels Management Inc.

Countries with a ‘complete market’ economy have 7 times the number of economical hotels than luxury hotels. The increasing amount of economy chain hotels is expected to bring about the gradual improvement of the hotel industry in Sanya as tourism booms, according to the deputy director of Sanya Tourism Development Committee Zheng Conghui.
