Haikou launches free Wi-Fi service on 3 bus routes
The Haikou Public Transport Company on September 25th announced that three bus lines – No. 4, 19 and 30 – are the first three “China Mobile 4G” buses on which passengers can experience free China Mobile 4G network service.
Connecting to 4G is easy: You get on the bus, enable your phone’s WiFi, search for the CMCC-4G network, then login with a password to enjoy the free high-speed 4G network with the entire process taking less than 30 seconds. The 4G connection on buses can provide speedy 4M internet service for up to 30 passengers at a same time.
According to the latest 4G construction plan, Haikou Mobile will strive to complete its 4G coverage on all bus lines, bus stop shelters as well as 3A and more scenic spots in the city by the end of this year.
Conversion equipment will also be installed at these stations to convert the 4G network into Wi-Fi for passengers to freely use, such as for watching online movies and chatting
