The opening ceremony of the Sanya Painting & Calligraphy Institute as well as the 2013 Sino-Russian calligraphy & painting art exchanges will be held on December 20th.

The events are sponsored by the Sanya Municipal CPPCC and the Sanya Municipal Foreign Cultural Exchange Association.

The Sanya Painting & Calligraphy Institute, which started construction in this September, belongs to the Sanya Municipal CPPCC Foreign Cultural Exchange Center project, which is situated in Hailuo Village in Sanya’s Hedong District.

Full construction of the Sanya Municipal CPPCC Foreign Cultural Exchange Center project will kick off in January 2014, and the construction period is about 3 years.

After the completion of the project, the Sanya Municipal CPPCC Foreign Cultural Exchange Center will become the art creation base of the Chinese Culture and Arts Association (CCAA), the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Institute, the Chinese Calligraphers Association and the Chinese Photographer Association, and a variety of international and domestic art exchange activities will be held at the center.
