On November 26th, mayor Wang Yong and the heads of the relevant departments in Sanya city signed a management campaign initiative to ensure the quality of Sanya’s tourist reception services during the peak tourism season, which is from November 26th to May 31st, 2014, and especially important in the 2014 Spring Festival Golden Week.

According to sources, the relevant departments will jointly launch specialized campaigns to crack down on 7 prominent problems, those of marine wading tourism, transportation, accommodation, catering, tourist safety, tourism environmental protection and tourism management, with the two most serious problems determined as being tourist catering and seafood stalls.

In recent years, Sanya has become the preferred coastal tourist destination for many international and domestic tourists. The Sanya Department of Holidays predicted that the number of tourists traveling to Sanya is expected to hit 12 million, while the city’s tourism income will top RMB 23 billion by the end of this year.
