SuperStar Gemini is currently sailing from her Sanya homeport in China.

Chinese nationals can now take advantage of a recent Cross Border Pass arrangement when cruising from Sanya, China to Vietnam onboard Star Cruises’ SuperStar Gemini.

According to the new agreement, Chinese passengers will only need a valid ID card to apply for the boarding pass, which is expected to boost numbers on SuperStar Gemini’s four-day Halong Bay/Danang and three-day Halong Bay itineraries.

Coinciding with Star Cruises’ third year of seasonal deployment in Sanya, the new policy will be advantageous to meetings, incentives, conferencing and exhibitions business development, by enabling corporations to host more company trips onboard ships.

In addition, it is hoped that the Cross Border Pass will increase Sanya’s cruise tourism market, enhancing its competitive position as an international cruise homeport.

SuperStar Gemini will remain in Sanya until 14 March 2014.
