According to the Sanya Taxi Association, Sanya’s more than 700 radio taxis will charge passengers extra service fees and be set to automatically print taxi receipts for all taxi journeys starting from December 1st.

The immediate taxi radio service (bookings less than 30 minutes in advance) will charge 5 yuan per booking, and the reservation taxi radio service (bookings less than 24 hours in advance) will charge 15 yuan or more per time depending on the pick-up locations, according to the President of the Talent Group Zheng Peigui.

In order to meet the huge demand for radio taxis, apart from the 200 existing radio taxis, more than 500 ordinary cabs will offer the taxi radio service, which are all public-owned and the drivers are employed as the taxi company’s staff to make sure that each driver is available at a specific area at a specific time.

From December 1st, passengers traveling by both radio and ordinary taxi will be able to receive a receipt automatically printed by the meter, on which will be printed the taxi company name, the license plate number, the mileage, the price, as well as the extra fare for radio taxi service.
