Traffic is back to normal on Sanya’s main roads after Typhoon Hainan lashed the city on Sunday 10th November.

Haiyan has triggered flooding in many parts of the city. The local traffic department has sent nearly 600 workers armed with mechanical equipment to assist in rescue and repair work.

As of Wednesday afternoon, traffic was almost back to normal on Nanbianhai Road and Fenghuang Road.

As repair work on the flooded roads continues, transport services are expected to fully resume on Thursday, local authorities said.
