Sanya to strengthen supervision on tourist market
Sanya tourism supervision department said on Friday that they received 41 complaints from tourists in the last week and have so far dealt with most of the cases.
Officials from the department said law enforcement has been strengthened to regulate the tourist market since the New China Tourism Law came into effect on 1st October.
7 hotels and 3 tourism-related businesses were investigated and punished over illegal operations during a crackdown campaign rolled out by the department.
An unlicensed Russian speaking tour guide was also investigated during the crackdown.
