Government-set prices have been announced to ensure the stability of the price of hotel rooms across the city when visitors swam to Haikou during the 2014 National Day holiday, which runs from October 1st to 7th.

Under the rules, most of the hotel room rates during the upcoming CNY will remain at the same level as last year.

The highest price for a standard room, including extra service fees, is set at 5,000 yuan per night. If prices are expected to exceed the cap, the hotel will need prior approval from local authorities.
