4 cities and counties of Hainan including Sanya, Wuzhishan, Baisha and Baoting recorded 100% of days as having good air quality in the third quarter of 2013.
 
According to a recent environmental report released by Hainan Province’s Department of Land and Environmental Resources, good air quality was recorded during 100% of the days in Q3 across 4 cities and counties of Hainan including Sanya, Wuzhishan, Baisha and Baoting.

The seawater of most of the sea areas in Hainan was ranked Grade I or II. Water quality of 84.2% of the monitored sea areas in Haikou, Sanya, Chengmai, Wenchang, Qionghai, Wanning and Lingshui met the requirements of the Water Environment Management Objective.

Meanwhile, the water quality of 88.5% of the monitored stream segments and 32 the monitored lakes and 18 major reservoirs reached or exceeded the national surface water standard grade III for Collective Potable Water Resources.

The overall air quality in major forest tourism areas including Yanoda, Yalong Bay, Mt. Qixianling, Mt. Diaoluoshan, Mt. Wuzhishan, Jianfengling National Forest Park remained good. The negative ions concentration in Mt. Qixianling National Forest Park was higher than in the second quarter of 2013
