The 2014 WTTC Global Summit will be held in Haitang Bay, Sanya from April 23rd to 25th, according to a press conference held in Beijing on October 25th, 2013.

Mr. Lu Zhiyuan, head of Hainan Tourism Development Commission, said the WTTC global summit was an opportunity for a comprehensive showcasing of Haitang Bay, the National Coast of China, and other Hainan tourism resources to the world.

Located 28km northeast of Sanya city and 45 minutes from Sanya International Airport, Haitang Bay is vying to become the representative of "The Rise of Green", with abundant and unspoilt natural resources including seawater, beaches, hot springs, islands and wetlands.

As Hainan Province’s key coastal leisure tourism resort, the number of large-scale projects that are under construction has reached 98. It will be positioned as a world-class paradise resort with three draw cards: the international luxury hotel cluster, world-class yachting leisure community and a national-level medical and rehabilitation base.

The Global Summit is the world's highest profile meeting for the Travel & Tourism industry which has a profound influence on the tourism of many countries around the world. More than 800 company leaders, officials of tourism departments from across the globe are to attend the 2014 Summit in Sanya.
