On the morning of October 27th, the Hainan Provincial Industrial and Commercial Bureau held a conference in Sanya to further strengthen and improve the regulation of seafood stalls in Sanya.

According to regulations, the owners of seafood stalls in Sanya are required to present the letter of commitment for not ripping off customers, and supply proof of identity and addresses to get business licenses.

According to the regulations, a Penalty Point System with a nine-point rating scale was introduced, and operators of seafood stalls will have 3-9 points deducted for each instance of illegal behavior, and the stall’s business license will be revoked if all 9 points are deducted.

The Sanya government has also set up an official website for the operation and management of the many seafood stalls in the city, to help popularize qualified seafood restaurants or stalls and announce rewards and punishments.

In addition, the government is strongly promoting the use of the price supervision systems, including an electronic dish-ordering system, a price publication screen and POS accounting system among the seafood outlets in Sanya.
