Sanya Phoenix International Airport
   
The passenger throughput of Sanya Phoenix International Airport this year hit 10 million on 23rd October, according to airport authorities.

The airport has recorded an annual passenger throughput of over 10 million for three consecutive years thanks to the city’s booming tourism industry.

A manager from the airport said passenger throughput of Phoenix Airport is expected to reach 12.7 million in 2013 with year-on-year increases of 12 percent.

An expansion project at the airport has recently been launched in order to meet rapidly-growing demand.

After the project is completed, the number of aircraft parking lots in Phoenix Airport will be increased to 54 from 41.
