The International Boat Show & Festival 2013, supported by the International Council of Marine Industry Associations (ICOMIA), kicked off in Sanya on 18th October, becoming the highest level event of its kind to ever be held in China.

The secretary general of ICOMIA Tony Rice and over 400 domestic and overseas executives and important guests from the yachting industry attended the event.

According to reports, activities including a World Yacht Economy Forum, an international yacht show, and an international yacht cultural week are scheduled to take place during the gathering.

Tony Rice delivered a speech during the opening of the World Yacht Economy Forum with the theme “The new pattern of the development of world yacht industry”, and expressed his opinions and insights concerning the yacht industry.

40 keynote speeches are set to be delivered by elites from the yacht industry during the 3-day World Yacht Economy Forum, which is hailed as the “Davos Forum” of the yacht industry, the organizing committee of the event said.
