Themed ‘Inheritance and Innovation of Expo Culture’, the 2014 10th China International Event Festival recently opened in Haikou, drawing 100 exhibitors and over 1,000 professional attendees to its opening ceremony on August 17th.

During the festival, a round table discussion will be held to allow for the brainstorming of ideas on the development of the expo industry among cities in China.

Besides, a mascot for the China International Event Festival will be unveiled at the 13th Golden Dolphin Award Ceremony, which is considered the most authoritative and prestigious annual award for the exhibition industry in China.

Established in 2005, the annual event, co-organized by the China Conference & Exhibition magazine and the China Council for the Promotion of the Convention and Expo Industry, has been held in 9 cities including Zhengzhou, Changchun, Shenzhen, Changsha, Yiwu, Chengdu and Wuhan and is one of the most important events for the exhibition industry in China.
 
Haikou was recently chosen as the permanent site for the China International Event Festival.
