On the afternoon of October 17th, Sanya’s Mayor Wang Yong met with a delegation from Hainan Microsoft Innovation Center led by General Manager Zhong Wenbin at the municipal government office.

Mr. Wang extended a warm welcome to the delegation and said that the Hainan Microsoft Innovation Center in Sanya, as the first Microsoft Innovation Center in China, was guaranteed to help the city enhance its competitiveness, and that the Sanya government would provide strong support for the construction and development of the center.

General Manager Zhong Wenbin also introduced recent developments in the Hainan Microsoft Innovation Center project and the next-stage working plan, and said that the center was keen to further enhance cooperation with the Sanya government to promote the work of the project and improve the informational level of the city.

Hainan Microsoft Innovation Center, China’s 1st Microsoft Innovation Center, was jointly established in Sanya by the Sanya government and Microsoft in China on April 6th 2013, and 120 software companies are expected to be supported to establish themselves in Hainan by the center, according to the cooperation memorandum.
