On 16th October, Italian cruise ship Costa Victoria berthed at the Sanya Phoenix Island International Cruise Terminal. 
 
Onboard were over 1000 passengers from countries including Italy, France and the UK. 
 
During their stay in Sanya, the passengers visited scenic attractions such as Nanshan temple and the 108-meter-tall Avalokitesvara statue in Nanshan Scenic Area, and were full of praise for the city as they soaked in the rich Buddhist culture and eye-pleasing costal scenery. 
 
According to reports, another Costa cruise ship, the Hormel, is also scheduled to visit Sanya on 23rd December. 
 
The luxurious liner will stay 10 hours in the city.
