Sanya Airport sees passenger record during 2013 National Day holiday
Passenger throughput hit a record high of 263,000 people at Sanya Phoenix International Airport during the 2013 National Day holiday, a year-on-year increase of 19.4 percent, according to Sanya Airport.
During the weeklong holiday, Sanya Airport operated a total of 1751 flights, up 17.2 percent compared to the same period of last year.
Passenger arrivals peaked on 30th September and 1st October, with the daily number of arrivals at around 20,000. Meanwhile, passenger departures peaked on the 6th and 7th October, with the daily number of departures surpassing 21,000.
25 flights covering routes between Sanya and major domestic cities such as Guangzhou, Beijing, Changsha and Wuhan were added during the Golden Week holiday.
