The Sanya Duty-free Store has become a must-visit ‘tourist spot’ in Sanya during the National Day holiday. According to Sanya Tourism Development Commission, the store welcomed 83,800 visitors and its total sales for the 7 days ending on October 6th were 68.3 million yuan.

Sanya duty-free store also offered a series of discounts and prize drawings, which caused quite a shopping frenzy among tourists during the National Day holiday week.

According to reports, the store’s daily visitors regularly exceeded 10,000. On October 5th alone, over 13,000 tourists visited the duty-free store, with sales reaching 12.06 million yuan.

In November last year, the maximum consumption of duty-free goods per person was raised from 5,000 yuan to 8,000 yuan to meet the ever-increasing demand among domestic tourists for imported goods.
