The 9th Chinese Club Cup Sail Race kicked off on 4th October in Wuyuan Bay, Xiamen. The event is the first for the team from Sanya Marina Sailing Academy, the first professional sailing training school in Sanya.
 
Co-organized by Chinese Yachting Association and Xiamen People’s Government, the annual race is the longest-running of its kind in China.

Taking part were 31 teams and a total of 220 sailors from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Shanghai, Hainan, Qingdao and other regions, amongst whom were national sailing team coaches and National Games and World Championships medal winners.

The event will include two periods: a challenge session and a dual meet session. In the challenge session, the fleet race will be held from the 4th to 6th and all the teams will compete for the top 16, while in the dual meet from the 8th to 11th, qualified racers will compete to be champion.
