The Chinese resort town of Sanya welcomed its first ever Boeing 787 Dreamliner flights on 30 September 2013.

Hainan Airlines deploys its new Dreamliner on the Beijing-Sanya route to cater for rising demand during the week-long National Day holiday period. Services will depart Beijing Capital International Airport at 1655, arriving at Sanya’s Phoenix International Airport at 2050. The return service will leave Sanya at 2140, getting back into Beijing at 0130 the next day.

Following this on 8 October 2013, Hainan Airlines will deploy another wide-body aircraft on the Shenzhen-Sanya route – an Airbus A330-200.

Sanya, in the southern island province of Hainan, becomes the fifth domestic destination for Hainan Airlines’ B787, following Haikou, Shanghai, Chengdu and Hangzhou.
