Sanya traffic police said on 29th September that new emergency parking lots have been added at scenic spots across the city as part of preparations for the tourism peak during the National Day Holiday.
 
An officer from Sanya traffic police said more than 500 emergency parking lots have been added in Sanya bay tourism area, pushing the number of parking lots in the area to 3865.
 
Beside Sanya bay scenic area, new emergency parking lots have also been added in areas including Nanshan scenic spot, Tianya Haijiao scenic pot and the ferry terminal of Wuzhizhou Island.
 
The emergency parking lots will be put into use once the number of vehicles entering these areas reaches a high enough level.
 
Meanwhile, traffic control measures will also be implemented to prevent traffic congestion during the holiday, the officer said.
