27 catering entities were awarded the title of “food safety model unit” in Sanya on 23rd September.

According to the Sanya food and drug safety supervision department, the selection of food safety demonstration units is part of efforts by the government to promote food safety and hygiene in the city’s catering sector.

Local officials said they have been conducting regular supervision and inspections of the food safety and hygiene of the city’s 2000 or so catering entities since 2010.

The 27 catering entities were given the title for their outstanding performance in food safety and hygiene practices.
