After the moon-gazing night of the Mid-Autumn Festival, which fell on September 19th, an incredible 10 tons of trash was collected from Dadonghai beach, an amount much reduced compared to the nearly 50 tons generated during last year’s Mid-Autumn Festival.

In order to help raise public environmental awareness and give beachgoers an easy and convenient way to dispose of their trash, a large number of temporary garbage bins were placed on the Sanya Dadonghai Beach during the Mid-Autumn Festival.

On the day of the festival, the staff of Sanya’s relevant departments and volunteers sacrificed their holidays to maintain order and clean up the garbage on Dadonghai beach.

“Sanya is very beautiful, I sincerely hope that all tourists can work together with us to protect this beautiful place”, said a volunteer on Dadonghai beach.

To make a better Sanya, residents and tourists should pay more attention to environmental protection and improving their tourism behaviors. Meanwhile, Sanya’s relevant departments should take more effective measures to protect the environment and ecosystem.
