The all-in-one card, which is currently limited to buses in Sanya, is soon to be usable for multiple services across the city to offer greater convenience to cardholders.

On September 18, a number of firms and organizations across dining, scenic spot tourism, hospitality, banking and the telecoms industry signed cooperation agreements with Hainan Zhineng Science Development Co. Ltd, the card design company.

Sanya will gradually further expand the scope of the card applications to include entrance tickets for tourism spots, catering businesses, hotel expenses, public transport and so on.

Meanwhile, in order to make it convenient for cardholders to enjoy the same benefits outside Sanya, the city is considering promoting the card’s use in other cities on the island such as Haikou in the near future.

The all-in-one card system officially came into service on September 11 on more than 600 of the city’s buses and 200,000 cards are to be issued by the end of this year.
