In order to protect the marine ecosystem, the Sanya Forestry Department has taken many measures to strengthen the protection of local mangrove forests in recent years.

On the afternoon of September 4th, a brand new billboard to promote Sanya River Mangrove Protection was unveiled at the mangrove forest alongside Linchun River in Sanya’s Hedong District.

In recent years, Sanya authorities have established many mangrove protection signs and mangrove reserves to increase awareness and concern for the protection of mangrove forests among local residents and tourists in Sanya.

Mangrove forests are one of the most precious resources on the tropical Hainan Island, which serve to protect coastal areas from erosion, conserve biodiversity and maintain wetland environments & ecological systems.
