According to the Sanya government, the government is planning to invest 37.2 million yuan to build 122 new bus shelters in the downtown area, and recently issued a bid invitation document for the project design to the public.

The 122 new bus shelters will be mainly built in Downtown Sanya, including along Jiefang Road, Hedong Road, Hexi Road, Sanya Bay Road, Haitang Bay Road and Haiyu Central Highway.

According to the bid invitation document, applicants should have B class (or above) qualifications issued by Chinese national ministries or provincial construction administrative departments, and relevant design or planning experience.

The design for the bus shelters is required to feature solar lighting systems and urban electricity systems, and should be simple, beautiful, durable, easily maintainable and reflect the unique characteristics of Sanya city.

The registration time for the public bidding is from 8:30 am to 11:30 am, and from 15:00 pm to 17:00 pm on September 19th and 20th.
