2013 Sanya Destination Wedding Expo, jointly organized by the Municipal Government of Sanya and Hainan Broadcasting Group, kicked off on 6th September at the Sanya Visun Royal Yacht Club.

Hundreds of wedding celebration companies, star-rating hotels, travel agencies and wedding photography films attended the three-day gathering.

The vice mayor of Sanya Xu Zhenling and the party secretary of Hainan Broadcasting Group Sun Deming delivered a speech at the event.

"Wedding tourism has become a key sector for Sanyan tourism economy. In 2011 alone, consumption on wedding photography, wedding celebration, and honeymoon travel reached 500 million yuan in Sanya. We hope the expo can become a bridge of cooperation between wedding celebration businesses and further boost Sanya wedding tourism industry.” says Xu.

Activities including group wedding, themed wedding and a wedding veil show and a wedding industry forum also took place during the expo.
