The routes of Sanya’s water bus transit 
 
Construction of the Sanya River International Yacht Harbor is to start soon, and in addition a water bus transport system will be launched across the city, according to a plan recently issued by the Sanya Marine and Fishery Bureau.

The total planning area of the project includes 182 hectares of sea area incorporating Phoenix Island, Sunshine Coast and Nanbianhai Area, as well as 8,886 metres of coastline along the Sanya and Linchun rivers.

The establishment of the water bus transport system across the city is also included in the plan, and two water bus routes will be launched to link Downtown Sanya and many tourist attractions, such as West Islet, Wuzhizhou Island and Dongluo Island.

A water bus will depart every 20 minutes from the two water bus stops in Sunshine Coast and Nanbianhai Area during peak periods, and every 30 minutes during normal times.
