On September 1st, the 2013 China (Sanya) World Series of Poker tournament kicked off in Sanya.

1,000 professional poker players from more than 20 countries and regions gathered in Sanya to compete for the 10 million yuan prize in the 8-day tournament, including an International Duplicate Texas Hold'em Poker Team Event and a Texas Hold'em Poker Individual Event.

According to the organizers, the winner of the event will qualify for the 2013 IFP Asian Nations Cup, and the top five players will represent China in the 2014 WSOP finals.
