The first offshore yacht bonded warehouse in Hainan has been put into use in Sanya’s Visun Royal Yacht Club, according to reports.

Approved by the General Customs Administration, the offshore yacht bonded warehouse, which is the second of its kind in China, will facilitate the docking of imported yachts in Hainan.

It will help avoid the complicated process of transporting the large imported yachts to bonded warehouses on-land.

Sanya has been paying great attention to the development of the local yacht industry in recent years.

Li Boqing, the deputy mayor of Sanya, said the opening of the offshore yacht bonded warehouse will also help encourage international yacht manufacturers to hold yacht exhibitions and yacht events in Hainan, which will greatly accelerate the development of the province’s yacht industry.
