Sanya Phoenix International Airport is currently embracing its first travel peak of the summer, as the 2013 summer vacation enters its final days.

The daily passenger throughput of Phoenix Airport has reached 30,000, officials from Phoenix Airport said.

In response to the travel peak, the airport has increased the number of service counters to shorten the waiting time for passengers.

Volunteers and extra staff have also been stationed in the airport to assist passengers with their journeys.

Other moves have also been taken to ensure the smooth running of the airport, officials from Phoenix Airport said.
