During the sweltering summer, the electric power consumption in Sanya has jumped dramatically, with a highest electricity generation of 451,950 kilowatts, setting a new electrical load record.

The figure was 15.18% higher than the previous high and also exceeded 440,000 kilowatts, the expected maximum capacity for this year.

In order to ensure the security and stability of the power network, the Sanya Power Dispatch and Communication Center switched on peak load shifting management systems for some businesses during the peak period from 16:00 pm to 23:00 pm.

Sanya's power grid companies are currently making great efforts to strengthen the monitoring and forecasting of increases in electricity demand and developing better power distribution plans to avoid power shortages this summer.
