According to the China Southern Airlines Hainan Branch Company, China Southern Airlines is planning to launch a Sanya-Moscow direct flight route, in order to meet the demands of the large number of Russian tourists who travel to Sanya.

Meanwhile, China Southern Airlines will continue to add more flights from Sanya to Beijing, Guangzhou and Urumqi at Sanya Phoenix International Airport, and the daily number of flights from Sanya to Beijing and Guangzhou is expected to be increased to 10 and 20 in late October and winter respectively.

To better meet the demand, the number of planes registered in Sanya by China Southern Airlines will reach 14, and the average daily number of flights will be increased from 55 this year to 60 next year, and 68 in 2015, with an annual passenger capacity of 5 million in 2015.

According to Wang Zhen, the general manager of China Southern Airlines Hainan Branch, Sanya has become a very important market for China Southern Airlines, and the total fixed asset investment the airline has invested in Sanya is expected to reach more than 3 billion yuan in the next three years.
