Sanya’s Nandao-Gaofeng district is to be built into a mountain tourism holiday town, according to a detailed plan for Sanya’s Nandao-Gaofeng district released by local media on August 18th.

The Nandao-Gaofeng district is about 20 kilometers from downtown Sanya.

Boasting a total planning area of 420.34 hectares, the project will be built into an international eco-friendly tropical mountain scenery town as well as a tourism and agricultural services base in the northern mountainous area of Sanya.

After its completion, the project will include seven areas, a scenic tourism resort area, mountain leisure resort area, residential area, health resort area, oak scenery resort area, rural town scenery living area and eco-rest resort area.
