At the opening ceremony of the 2013 Bo’ao Real Estate Forum, the mayor of Sanya, Wang Yong, said that the Sanya government is to give priority to the development of business real estate.

According to Wang Yong, the Sanya government will actively promote the internal structure optimization of Sanya’s real estate industry, and focus on the development of business real estate including resort hotels, theme hotels, leisure vacation resorts, business office buildings, cultural educational buildings and commercial buildings.

He revealed that the occupancy rate of hotels in Sanya had reached 50% in August, and said that the booming tourist industry would surely have a positive impact on the real estate industry.

Sanya now has approved more than 50 property and apartment hotel projects, and more than 30 of them have been put into operation.

In recent years, the government has accelerated the pace of development of urban infrastructure and supporting service facilities, including the Binlang River Tourism Shopping Street and Haitang Bay International Shopping Center, which will start trial operation by the end of 2013.
