Sanya Serenity Marina

After serving as a 2011-2012 Volvo Ocean Race stopover city, Sanya was announced to be the stopover of the 12th Volvo Ocean Race 2014-2015 this March, and the race team is expected to sail into Sanya Serenity Marina in February of 2015.

Recently, officials of the Sanya government and the chief executive officer of Volvo Ocean Race Knute Flores Tad officially signed the cooperation agreement.

Knute Flores Tad said that Sanya is one of the best stopovers, thanks to its many advantages including great facilities, perfect weather conditions and the warm hospitality of the public, which made the stopover a highlight during the past ocean race.

He added that Volvo Ocean Race 2014-2015 will be held closer to the shore, in order give the public a better view.
