Tourists were sunbathing on Sanya’s Dadonghai Beach.
 
Sanya is the third most popular tourism destination for domestic individual travelers, according to a research report from the Chinese tourism industry jointly issued by the China Tourism Academy and China CYTS Tours Holding Limited Company on August 5th.

Hong Kong took the top spot on the list of the top 3 most popular destinations worldwide for individual travelers in China, followed by the Maldives and Sanya.

In addition, Sanya was also crowned the most popular Chinese tourist city for individual travelers in mainland China, and followed by Lijiang in Yunnan Province, Wuzhen in Zhejiang Province, Gulangyu Island in Xiamen City, Guilin city in Guangxi province and Jiuzhaigou in Sichuan province.
