The “Wedding Photography Preferential Week”, which was jointly organized by the Sanya Tourism Development Commission and Sanya Tourism Association, kicked off on Monday in Dadonghai Summer Department Stores Square to mark the Qixi Festival.

A number of well-known wedding photography films in Sanya participated in the campaign and promoted a series of wedding photography preferential packages as a way of heralding the traditional Qixi Festival, which is also known as Chinese Valentine's Day.

The campaign is part of a concerted effort by the local government to boost the city’s wedding tourism.

Local authorities said activities including star ratings for wedding photography films, selection of the best wedding photographer, wedding photography competitions, and wedding photography training courses are also to be held following the wedding photography preferential campaign this week.
