Hui people in Sanya celebrated the Hari Raya Adilfitri on Thursday as the one-month long Ramadan concluded.

At 8:00AM on Thursday, thousands of Hui people from areas including Gansu, Xinjiang, Qinghai and Hui ethnic communities in Fenghuang town dressed in their festive best and gathered together to celebrate the holy festival.

As one of most important festivals celebrated by Muslims worldwide, the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrates the conclusion of the 29 or 30 days of dawn-to-sunset fasting during the entire month of Ramadan.

Hui people in Sanya’s Fenghuang town celebrate the festival by slaughtering goats and cows and inviting relatives and friends to enjoy their delicious festival meal.
